SportJon in Colors

On the way to Valdez for some killer silver fishing!

73 More Reasons to Own a SportJon

Blamo Camo

Blamo Camo SportJons on the Goodpaster River.

Dodging Sweepers

When you're coming downstream and need an agile boat, the SportJon fits the bill. 3/4 lock-to-lock steering, and our optional single-lever dash mount remote box means never having to make excuses.
If you miss the turn... YOU missed the turn!

Toughest Four Miles

If you're looking for the $500 reward for the return of our Phantom SportJon sign on the upper reaches of the Goodpaster River... the view seen in the photo here means you're getting close... it also means the toughest four miles is just ahead of you. Good luck.

Silver Rocks

We found the most unusual silver rocks just before we stopped to hang our Phantom SportJon sign. These rocks almost looked aluminum colored. Haven't seen many of those since we started using the incredible UHMW bottom!

Fish On!

240 Arctic grayling in an afternoon. Not one under 16 inches. The SportJon gets to areas that simply don't get fished. Period.

Yukon Gold

Gold prospecting way up the river where most boats have never been. (Forgot exactly where this was.)

It Just Keeps Getting BETTER!

New helm-mounted stomp grate lever.

The Stomp Grate

Best invention since pockets on a shirt. In just a matter of seconds, rocks, sticks, grass, and debris are gone. No more swimming under the boat to get home.

Maniac Bottom

Full coverage over the back 10 feet of the boat with UHMW, plus... four 10-foot stainless steel rock knockers cemented to the extrusions. Unbelievable additional impact protection for you maniac... uhhhh... hard-core boaters!

SportJon ... Whatever Gets Your Goat

Life is Good

Does Backstrap Get Any Fresher?

20-06 Braking

We've developed the first boat to use antilock brakes. That's a bit of an exaggeration... but by redesigning the jetpump for maximum reverse thrust, we can literally stop a SportJon at 45+MPH in couple boat lengths. This is a huge safety feature on every SportJon we sell. The boat shown is our 20' center console version of the SportJon, we call the 20-06 (Twenty ought six).

Airborne SportJon

Ever heard of "Same day Airborne?" During the testing of our UHMW bottom, we subjected our boats to conditions you likely never would. Because it's many times slipperier than bare aluminum, the UHMW not only glides over just about any obstruction, it makes the boat almost fun to get off a gravel bar.

Camo SportJon

Custom paintjobs are available, including this new "Blamo Camo" pattern. Full camo inside and out makes this the ultimate waterfowl machine.

Duck!

Stay tuned for our full feature story that will appear in the spring issue of Riverjet Magazine. 300 miles of running on the Goodpaster River near Delta Junction, Alaska. A truly memorable trip.

Duravar Bottom

It's going to change everything. We've been working on this design secretly for two seasons, and it's just about perfect. Make sure you get a copy of our brand new SportJon Video, titled "Come Hell or Low Water" It's going to change everything you thought You knew about super shallow water jetboating.

Launch

This picture was taken just a bit early. In our new SportJon Video.."Come Hell or Low Water" you can see the big air that the SportJon gets. We actually performed this jump simply to give you an excellent view of our new Duravar bottom…. (yea.. right !)

Supercub in SportJon

As reported in the October 14, 2005 Fairbanks Daily News Miner, this custom 28' SportJon rescued a downed airplane 20 miles downriver from Fairbanks. The entire plane was stuffed into the boat and hauled back in a single load. Can your boat do this?

Removing Supercub

And here we are… back at the shop. No job too big for a SportJon!

SportJon Wheel Kit

If you go far enough up any river, eventually you're going to miss a turn. With our clever wheel kit and swim deck jack, getting the boat back in the river is no longer a big ordeal. In our new video.. "Come Hell or low Water", you'll see one guy move this boat 60', back into one of three narrow water channels. And he does it by himself. This is almost not fair!

Swimdeck Toungejack

This makes getting your boat off the bottom painless. Simply crank up the swivel jack, install the solid rubber tires, and let the boat back down. The end result…you'll keep going where you normally turned around. And that's where that 65" moose is at.

Hinged Windshields

Here's yet another innovative idea from Compeau's.
We found that by making the windshields hinged and easily removable, you have three major advantages: You can remove them while on the water if you are in heavy sweeper country, like George Lake. You can remove them and avoid having a rock break your windshield while traveling down the highway. And the biggest advantage… Our testing proved that you will increase your vehicles MPG by 2-3 MPG due to greatly decreased wind resistance while traveling at 65MPH down the highway. Put that money you're saving in the beer fund.

SportJon Warn Winch

Here's the ultimate idea for getting out of a really tight spot. It's a 4,000 Warn winch with a double roller fairlead mounted under the front deck. It even comes with a switch at the dash, and a handheld remote switch as well. Sweet!

SportJon Winch

Here's the external view of the 4,000 lb SportJon winch. Just push the dash or remote control button and relax. Your back will really like this new feature.

Ankle Shot

If it's wet in front of you… you're probably going to get through it. Like the factory claims… "this boat will run on a damp floor!"

Jeep shot

Here's a still picture taken from our most popular commercial. If features a Jeep and 5 guys in a 21' SportJon during our in house product testing. With well over 3400 lbs in the boat, we achieved 35 MPH on radar. While we don't recommend you attempt to carry this much weight, it's comforting to know that whatever you are likely planning on throwing in the boat for the weekend, the SportJon can handle it. To see all our creative commercials, go to our front page and click on the TV.

SportJon Sturgeon

Here's one of the only pictures not taken in Alaska. This monster was caught during Phantoms testing of some new rod holders. As you can see, it's very tough work testing new product. But the staff at Phantom and Compeau's will go the extra mile to make sure these products are second to none.

Two Moose

The more the merrier. Here's a nice shot of two moose taken near Fairbanks. The owner, Troy Sessions, said he could have taken a third moose, but he didn't need the meat. "It was tempting," he said, "just to see how fast my boat would have gotten on step with all three!"

For a free DVD or VHS copy of this amazing boat, click here sales@compeaus.com to send us your name, address and if you want a DVD or VHS. We'll get one to you. Or Stop by Compeau's on Boat Street across Airport way from Fred Meyer West.
